More than 30 NATO Leaders gathered virtually for the LC3
Milan, April 21, 2021. Lieutenant General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, the Commander of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps and respective commanders of the NATO Land Command, together with more than 30 Senior Leaders from across the Alliance gathered virtually today to discuss vital issues affecting the land domain and collective defence.
The 18th LANDCOM Corps Commanders’ Conference (LC3) chaired by Lieutenant General Roger L. Cloutier Jr., Commander of NATO’s Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) focused on Dominance in the Land Domain – generating coherency, capability and capacity.
Six presentations regarding interoperability solutions for effective conduct of combined military operations as well as the necessary liaison network and Command and Control (C2) structure represented the core of the event. In this context, adaptation is key to be fit for purpose in the dynamic, complex, and uncertain security environment, as thinking in advance is vital to be ready to face a near-peer opponent.
Furthermore, the Conference was an opportune occasion to discuss the refinement of the NATO C2 organization, both in peace and in conflict.
