The Commander of NRDC-ITA meets the Romanian consular representation, one of the youngest contributing nations of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy

Solbiate Olona, July 15, 2020. Today, at the operational headquarters of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Italy, a meeting took place between Lieutenant General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta and Mr. Florian Pascu, Romanian Consul General ad interim for Italy.

The event allowed to strengthen relationship between NRDC-ITA and Romanian authorities focusing on themes of specific interest in the Eastern side of the Alliance, also considering the presence of the Multinational Division Southeast (MNDS) - a NATO Command in Eastern Europe, since 2015, under the control of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFC-N) - multinational reality present in Romania, with high operational readiness.

Romania supported all the activities carried out by the NATO Command in Milan, also following the dramatic effects of the pandemic affecting the NATO countries, mostly in terms of healthcare.

Maintaining stable relations with international institutions and organizations in the NRDC-ITA area of interest is one of the main tasks of a Command that intends to confirm its role as an organization ready and able to support the policies of the Alliance, to counter crises and promote international stability.
