SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 12 June 07. Admiral H.G. Ulrich III, Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, visited HQ NRDC-IT today.
Admiral Ulrich took advantage of Exercise Steadfast Jackpot 07, upon which both his headquarters and HQ NRDC-IT are deployed, to pay a visit to Solbiate Olona.
He was received by the Commander NRDC-IT, Lieutenant General Del Vecchio, at the entrance to the HQ’s forward command post at around midday, before receiving a briefing over lunch.
Admiral Ulrich was updated on the progress of the exercise, and then given a tour of the forward command post in operation.
The Admiral, who commands the headquarters that will provide the lead for the Deployed Joint Task Force in the event of NRF deploying over the next year, took every opportunity to ask questions and assure himself that the Land Component Command was ready.
At the conclusion of the brief visit Admiral Ulrich congratulated HQ NRDC-IT on a job well done.
