THE COMMANDER OF THE 3RD GBR DIVISION VISITS NRDC-ITA

On the 15th of June 2009 General Barney White-Spunner, Commander of the 3rd British Army Division based in Salisbury (Great Britain), visited NRDC-ITA. The British Unit is affiliated to NRDC-ITA for a possible commitment in a NATO mission.

SOLBIATE OLONA (VA) 15th JUNE 2009. On the 15th of June 2009 General Barney White-Spunner, Commander of the 3rd British Army Division based in Salisbury (Great Britain), visited NRDC-ITA. The British Unit is affiliated to NRDC-ITA for a possible commitment in a NATO mission.
The visit is one of the institutional contacts held to set since peacetime the conditions to effectively employ in the Operations Areas the units assigned to NRDC-ITA by NATO member Countries.
The British General, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of NRDC-ITA, General David Capewell, has been updated on the activities of the higher Command, and also has visited a static show of vehicles and materials which the Support Brigade Units (1st Signal Regiment and the Tactical-logistic Support Regiment) are equipped with.
At the end of the visit, General White-Spunner offered his congratulations to General Capewell for the professional character of the personnel and for the availability of advanced vehicles and materials, thanks to which NRDC-ITA is a point of reference in the NATO structure.
