SOLBIATE OLONA (VA) 02 JULY 2010. The US Contingent celebrated their national day with the Officer, Soldiers, and Guests of NRDC-ITA on July 2, 2010.

In his remarks, LTC Gregory Rhoden, the USA Senior National Representative, highlighted the uniqueness of celebrating Independence Day among friends and colleagues from many of the nations that played pivotal roles in the formation and development of the United States of America.
He also pointed out that even though we were having this celebration two days earlier than actual holiday, it was none the less appropriate because the legal separation of the American colonies from Great Britain occurred on the 2nd of July 1776 when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve the resolution of independence.
Afterward, guests were treated to a sampling of foods that are typically served at 4th of July celebrations in the USA.
