MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN NRDC-ITA, THE ITA ARMY OFFICERS’ SCHOOL AND THE POST CONFLICT OPERATIONS CENTRE

Solbiate Olona, 6th June 2011. NRDC-ITA signed today at Palazzo dell’Arsenale in Turin, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share its expertise in NATO doctrine and NATO-led military operations with the young officers of the school and the personnel attending the Post Conflict Operations Centre.


SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 6th June 2011. NRDC-ITA signed today at Palazzo dell’Arsenale in Turin, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share its expertise in NATO doctrine and NATO-led military operations with the young officers of the school and the personnel attending the Post Conflict Operations Centre.
The MoU was inked by Major General Leonardo di Marco, NRDC-ITA Chief of Staff, Major General Giuseppe Spinelli, Commander of the Officers’ School, and Major General Flaviano Godio, Post Conflict Operations Centre Director.
By the MoU, NRDC-ITA will provide the two military institutes in Turin with specific lectures on the new NATO strategic concept, the NATO comprehensive approach, the operational planning process, information operations, intelligence-surveillance target acquisition – reconnaissance, operational analysis in Post Conflict Operations and lessons learned from areas of NATO operations.
In exchange, the Officers’ School and the Post Conflict Operations Centre will support NRDC-ITA with dedicated personnel during NRDC-ITA training activities and exercises.
After the signature, General di Marco underlined the importance of the agreement by saying, The Memorandum of Understanding between NRDC-ITA and two high school institutes for military studies is a milestone to start implementing not only the young officers’ professional development but also to provide a great opportunity for the NRDC-ITA personnel to take advantage of the specialist contributions from the two institutes.
