SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 24th June 2011. After the recent signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-ITA (NRDC-ITA) and the Italian Army Post Conflict Operations Study Centre (PCOSC) the Exercise Eagle Settler 2011 was conducted in Turin as the final act of the 3rd Post Conflict Rebuilding Management Junior Course.
NRDC-ITA G5 Plans and Policy drafted a typical post conflict scenario and trained for two full days students belonging to six different European, American and African countries, to Italian Armed Forces and other national agencies, in the planning of a transition and stability operation. The students after having spent two weeks in academics regarding the international scenario and the management of operations in fragile situations, finally underwent the baptism of fire.
Organized in three largely heterogeneous syndicates, they analyzed, planned and finally presented their Course of Actions to contribute in a Comprehensive Approach to Stabilization and Reconstruction Operations.
