LT GEN BATTISTI TAKES OVER AS ITALIAN SENIOR NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE AT ISAF HQ
Last 16 January 2013 saw a major change for the Italian military community in Afghanistan. On that day, Lieutenant General Giorgio Battisti, NRDC-Italy Commander, replaced Major General Federico Bonato as the Italian Senior National Representative in Afghanistan.
KABUL (AFGHANISTAN). Last 16 January 2013 saw a major change for the Italian military community in Afghanistan. On that day, Lieutenant General Giorgio Battisti, NRDC-ITA Commander, replaced Major General Federico Bonato as the Italian Senior National Representative in Afghanistan. The brief ceremony was held at Cengia Martini building, home of the Italian National Support Element at ISAF HQ.
General Bonato served for a year at ISAF HQ in the capacity of Deputy Chief of Staff Stability.
On 22 January 2013, General Battisti is due to become the ISAF Chief of Staff.
