The Legnano branch of the Italian National Parachutists Association (ANPd’I) visits NRDC-ITA for a ceremony blessing their Labarum

Solbiate Olona, 8 October 2015. This morning at 10.30, a simple ceremony for the blessing of the Labarum of the ANPd’I of Legnano (MI) took place at the Chapel of the Blessed Immaculate Virgin in “Ugo Mara” barracks, base of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA). Chaplain Don Severino Mottironi from the Carabinieri Legion of Milan officiated the Holy Mass in the presence of the NRDC-ITA Commander, Lieutenant General Riccardo Marchió.

This morning at 10.30, a simple ceremony for the blessing of the Labarum of the ANPd’I of Legnano (MI) took place at the Chapel of the Blessed Immaculate Virgin in “Ugo Mara” barracks, base of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA). Chaplain Don Severino Mottironi from the Carabinieri Legion of Milan officiated the Holy Mass in the presence of the NRDC-ITA Commander, Lieutenant General Riccardo Marchió.  At the ceremony there was a large delegation of parachutists from both NRDC-ITA and, the Legnano ANPd’I Section.  This Section was headed by its president  Massimo Colombo and Sergio Luraschi, the parachutist organizing the event. At the end of the celebration, the Labarum, bearing three gold and three silver medals of honour, was blessed. A wreath was then laid at the monument dedicated to the parachutists of the Folgore Brigade, a shrine which also commemorates all the Italian Soldiers who lost their lives to ensure peace and security for the mother country.
