International Workshop "Assessing the Crisis on NATO's Southern Flank" NRDC-ITA organised an International Seminar.

Today, October 1, 2015, at the Palazzo Cusani Milan, there was an international seminar entitled "Assessing the CRISIS  ON NATO'S SOUTHERN FLANK" organized by NATO Rapid Deployable CORPS ITALY (NRDC-ITA)  and sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Defence. Today, October 1, 2015, at the Palazzo Cusani Milan, there was an international seminar entitled "Assessing the CRISIS ON NATO'S SOUTHERN FLANK" organized by NATO Rapid Deployable CORPS ITALY (NRDC-ITA) and sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Defence. Commander NRDC-ITA, General of the Army Corps Riccardo Marchiò, opened the proceedings of the seminar which was attended by an audience of military officials and diplomatics both national and NATO, and representatives of civil institutions and the media.The event, moderated by journalist of Sky TG24, Tonia Cartolano, was helpful in promoting a discussion on the main challenges to security and stability in North Africa and the Middle East, as well as encouraging a debate on the developing situations in those areas. The speakers, leading experts in the geopolitical areas of interest, were Luca Semeraro (Lieutenant Colonel of the Air Force), Domenico Quirico (La Stampa journalist and former prisoner of extremist groups in Syria), Vittorio Emanuele Parsi (Director of the High School of Economics and International Relations) and Nicola Pedde (Director of the Institute of Global Studies in Rome).
