SPEAR HEAD 2002
The aim of the operation was to test MAIN CP's functionality, battle rhythm and procedures in accordance with TACSOPs/TACSOIs. HQ’s Staff held exercise Spear Head 02 during the period 16-25 April 2002 at the Warrior Preparation Center in Ramstein (Germany). The aim of the Exercise was to test the following aspects:It was a CAX (Computer Assisted Exercise) where HQ NRDC-IT operated as Land Company Command (LCC) in a conventional war fighting and Peace Support Operation (PSO) scenarios in a regional conflict, conducting a non-Art.5 Crisis Response Operation (CRO).MAIN CP (MAIN Command Post): functionality, Battle Rhythm and procedures in accordance with TACSOPs/TACSOIs; HQ NRDC-IT Staff elements: in a war fighting and PSO situation playing 8 hrs a day.
The exercise organization chart was:HQ NRDC-IT Staff deployed and manned the MAIN CP activating all its cells with essential personnel while elements of the Support Regiment (SPT REGT) provided the real life support.
