SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 15 December 2017. Today, at the "Ugo Mara" barracks, NRDC-ITA headquarters, servicemen and women from the International staff and support units gathered with their families to exchange season’s greetings and reinforce sense of belonging and community feeling while children were given the opportunity to receive presents directly from Santa.
This traditional event has been organized by the Moral and Welfare Agency of the headquarters and by the NIWIC, a recognised voluntary membership association for spouses or partners within the NRDC-ITA.
The NIWIC routinely organizes a variety of activities in order to foster good relationships and mutual understanding, most of them with charitable purposes. Among others, it is worth remembering last week’s Christmas bazaar, unanimously recognized as a tremendous success! As a result of the fund-raising activity over 8000€ will be presented to Tincontro, a non-profit association active since 2009 in support of parents and small patients of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Filippo del Ponte Hospital in Varese: new medical equipment will give a little help in supporting the incredibly important work the staff do in assisting new born babies and their families.
