Solbiate Olona (VA), 21st July 2017 - The "Bad Company 2017" exercise just ended so concluding the Tactical Planning Module of the 2nd Course for Company/ Battery/ Squadron Commanders, organized by the Army Training Command and Application School in cooperation with the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy (NRDC-ITA).
80 among Lieutenants and Captains from the 189th and 190th Course of the Military Academy (plus 2 officers from the US), attended the Course and took part in the exercise in the role of Commanding officer confronting themselves with both tactical deliberate planning and hasty planning (under physical stress situation, A/N).
The officers, had their training on the wide spectrum of military operations, also facing with their planning, unconventional and asymmetric threats.
The responsibility of guiding the junior officers in the "Bad Company 2017" exercise has been assigned to the NRDC-ITA staff in the consideration of the large experience this threestars Headquarters achieved in planning and conducting joint-combined military operations: an experience this cadre of Officers are going to benefit from as soon as posted in their units.
A delegation of top-ranking Officers had the chance to observe the "pupils" while busy with implementing procedures and putting their knowledge into practice for the solution of a military problem - and have witnessed and assessed the results of a highly significant moment of education for the Junior Officers.
Once again, the NRDC-ITA demonstrates it can also provide a major contribution for training those who have chosen to be a leader in modern operational scenarios: a very high priority for the Italian Army.
This newly concluded training module, based on decision-making process and tactical planning, provided the participants with the necessary knowledge and mastery of tools and procedures to properly exercise Command and Control and analyse and understand the military problem and orders from one and two hierarchical levels up.
