Solbiate Olona (VA), 8th September 2016 - Lieutenant General Riccardo Marchiò, Commander NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy, took the opportunity to welcome new arrivals to the headquarters and to say farewell to those who are leaving. During the last few months over 30 new officers and other ranks have started work at the NRDC-ITA.
“Your presence, Gen. Marchiò said, boosts NRDC-ITA capabilities in terms of analysis, assessment and operational planning” with specific reference to the increased presence of officers from the Italian Army Selected Reserve and the benefit that derives from new international staff members. This has proved very beneficial over the last year for the certification process to become a joint operational HQ as well as adding value for the current transformation into Land Component Command for the 2017 stand-by period.
