Its awesome infrastructure is now example of industrial archeology. The Olona Valley Day has the aim to let the various local institutions meet together with the population, to know each other in order to strengthen collaboration and support. The core activity of the meeting has been a cross-country non-competitive race, to get children and adults closer to the natural environment of the river Olona. Among others, NRDC-ITA representatives illustrated to the people a tactical vehicle Iveco-Oto Melara (Finmeccanica group) VTLM “Lince” and some of the CBRN and radio-communication equipment used when deployed in operations or exercise. “It’s a fantastic day – Francesco, one of the thousands of children attending the event, said – “Finally I got into a wonderful military truck! Thanks!”.
