In Solbiate Olona, the Commander of NRDC-ITA meets Lieutenant General Peter Devogelaere

Solbiate Olona, Apr. 27, 2023. A visit by Lt. Gen. Peter Devogelaere, the Commanding General of Eurocorps, took place today at the NRDC-ITA.
The event allowed both sides to be updated on the current geostrategic situation and to assess the impact of the several activities carried out by the Alliance in the various areas of interest and for the benefit of member countries.
During the visit, General Devogelaere received a briefing on NRDC-ITA's tasks, structure, and capabilities, fulfilling the roles of a Warfighting Corps, Land component, and Joint Task Force Headquarters (JTF-HQ) after the last exercise in Norway, the Steadfast Jackal 2022 (STJA22).
This year, Eurocorps will be tested and validated as a JTF capable of planning and conducting a Non Article 5, Small Joint Operation (SJO) with full support by NRDC-ITA.
Then, the activity continued with a meeting with all the Seniors from the Headquarters contributing nations which proved to be a propitious occasion to strengthen the partnership.
The consolidation of good relations with similar realities at international level in the area of interest represents
one of the main tasks of the Command that is willing to confirm its role of an organization ready and able to support the policies of the Alliance.
